The McNeil Mansions

Great quiel location; helpful, acccommodating host; comfortable and well-furnished and -equipped.

Pros: I was attending an event at the PA Farm Show Center and the location was extremely convenient. The property was well appointed and equipped. The air conditioning was welcome on this sweltering week. The host was welcoming and helpful. He even texted me after I left that the right brake light on my car was out. There were fireflys in the field and across the street.

Cons: It wasn't clear from the listing that this is a basement apartment with no outside windows or light. It also wasn't clear that access was through stairs under a deck with clearance of only about 5 feet so getting in meant scrunching down really low. It was OK for me but if my wife had been along she couldn't have passed through the portal. The refrigerator was set so cold that all the bottles of water were frozen solid.

Pros: The place was quiet, clean, and very cozy! The staff were very understanding and polite.

Cons: Everything was A1.

Pros: I really appreciate how quick to communicate and friendly you were also very very clean place

Pros: Very nice and clean,great value. All the previous reviews problems have been solved.Upstairs had some low level noise but it was silent at 7:30 pm

My stay was overall very enjoyable

Pros: I liked the coffee that was provided and the home vibe of the place.

Cons: The coffee machine wasn’t working but that’s all.

Quaint, quiet safe apartment was perfect for our weekend getaway.

Pros: I loved the location of the property as it’s off the beaten path and on a quiet, secluded property providing privacy and safety. While there isn’t abundant light from windows; there is much light to be gained from opening door with screened access. It was a quaint air conditioned space that was very clean and perfect for our brief weekend getaway.

Cons: There wasn’t much that didn’t meet the needs of my family. It was perfect.

Pros: Very private, quiet basement apartment. The living space was adequate and comfortable. There is a small fridge with freezer, microwave and air fryer that is adequate enough for a short term stay. The bed was very comfortable and cozy! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the McNeill Mansions.

Cons: Parking across the street off property might discourage other travelers, wish they had necessities such as salt/pepper, sometimes it can be a little loud from upstairs occupants -- again, it's a basement apartment. So if you want complete silence, this might not be the place for you.

Pros: The property was clean and was well secured. The property was located in a quiet area.

Cons: There is no air conditioning for the downstairs apartment.

Pros: It was clean, comfortable and they allowed a late check in after midnight. Very convenient.

Cons: I could have used a towel but couldn't find any.

Great weekend getaway

Pros: A quite little place great for a weekend getaway. Comfortable bed and pillows with plenty of space to move around the entire unit. Separate sitting space from the sleeping space. Plenty of restaurants nearby to go visit or to have delivered to you. Property provided small things you may forget like cutlery and paper plates. The fridge even had nice cold water bottles.

Cons: The doors opening and closing are a little loud due to them rubbing on the frame, which prevents you from being quiet while someone sleeps. But it's not a huge deal by any means
