Idea Farm

One night stay was very pleasant

Pros: Location was good. We had our great nephews wedding st Seminary hill, Callicoon and this location was very good as only 20 minutes away.

Cons: Nothing at idea farm

A fabulous experience in a well appointed facility with a beautiful location.

Pros: The interior decor of the bedrooms was enchanting. I appreciate that tabletop convection burners were made available for home cooking. I took advantage of this set up by buying fresh eggs and pork sausage conveniently down the road at Weissman Farms and making a delicious breakfast. We (my daughter and I) would have explored the ample grounds—forest and pasture—but it rained... so instead we got to vicariously experience the thundershower through the sunroof, which was an atmospheric experience in its own right. I'm sure we would have really enjoyed taking whirlpools, had we not been too busy and exhausted to do so.

Cons: My only complaint is the downstairs carbon monoxide detector went off when incited by steam from the first floor bathroom, but that was only a temporary minor nuisance for which I cannot fairly blame the hosts. The hosts might also consider putting in their very helpful \

Pretty and quaint but ………

Pros: A beautiful rural setting cute little private patio. If you can’t do stairs you can’t get to it.

Cons: When I introduced myself and said ‘and you are Mr. ?’ I was corrected with Dr. when really I just thought he would give his first name. I was turned off immediately by that. I don’t like pretentious airs. I was cold and could not turn up thermostat, not sure if I couldn’t figure it out or if it was set to not turn up. It was asked if possible take your trash. I have stayed in many a place and it has never been suggested I take my trash ! What am I supposed to do with it, I took it and put it in a gas station receptacle.

Weekend getaway

Pros: Everything was wonderful! Clean, comfortable, nice location and safe!

Cons: Liked everything about our stay!

Exceptional

Pros: I liked all the conveniences and extras that the stay offered. Jacuzzis and dvd, streaming tv and books, CD's the complimentry snacks and even though I don't drink beer, that was in the fridge too! The coffee was great BUT, and yes! There's a but...LOL I think suppluing a Keurig would be much more of a convenience because everyone has coffee pods! It actually would prevent accidental overflowing of the half sized Mr. Coffee....This is no way a detraction from the Guest House 1 & 2. I even left a note in the guest bookfor Dr. Norris..I hope he responds..

Cons: I have no complaints. No complaints. No Complaints! Maybe change the 1/2 sized Mr. Coffee to a Kuerig...thats it!! LOL

Lovely place to stay! Charming and clean and beautiful stars.

Pros: Lovely views and stars, the property was clean and cute with lots of cool history. Dr. Norris was so kind and helpful with tips on how to avoid traffic for going to Bethel Woods for a concert !
