Charming & Whimsical Historic River Home

Overall, no home is perfect and it met our greatest needs. We would book again.

Pros: The historic home had a homey feel to it. We enjoyed the view of the Delaware River. There were several restaurants in the area. The fenced in yard was great for our pet. The home was warm, roomy and cozy. All the kitchen accessories worked. The owners were thoughtful to leave some beverages in the refrigerator for us. Access to Netflix and Prime movies were a plus. The night time experience was peaceful and quiet. The neighbor hood had a safe and secure feel to it.

Cons: We arrived right after 8 inches of ice and snow. There was a need for us to shovel additional snow and ice from the driveway to fit our SUV and walk safely to the door. We had to make a path from the back door, across the back deck and into the yard for our pet. There was no snow shovel at the house. The owners gave us access to a locked basement to retrieve a dirt shovel that we used to shovel snow. The living room couch was uncomfortable due to a combination of possible broken springs and\\or old soft cushions. The mattresses in the bedrooms were soft and uncomfortable for us. Most of the eating utensils and food preparation pans were old, very used and tarnished. During the evening the projector TV's picture was easily seen on the drop down screen but that same picture could be challenging to see during the day.

Pros: Location. Great summer spot probably best river access ive seen. Saldy its winter. A nice walk to the shopping streets. Will try again for the summer and you must check out there other homes. Holy moly, great set up to get multi families together

Cons: Nothing was a disappointment other than winter

Pros: The house is true to its name! My family and I loved it. It was comfortable and had lots of fun art and interesting objects to take in. The guitar, organ and record player were all appreciated as was the nice atmospheric lighting. My only regret was that my stay wasn't longer. We plan to return in the summer to enjoy some river activities.

Cons: I liked it all.
