Courtyard by Marriott Newark-University of Delaware

Pros: The server at breakfast was A M A Z I N G…so helpful, kind and energetic. She put a smile on our faces each morning. We also had great service by the bartender in the evenings.

Cons: Can’t think of a thing. Not sure we were that happy about paying for hot water to make a cup of tea, but the Starbucks machine made excellent coffee in the morning.

Cons: Our sink in the room was clogged and full of brown water and some type of debris. Unable to use

Pros: The room I was originally assigned had water all over the bathroom floor, and the ceiling light was leaking. I tried to call the front desk on the phone in the bathroom, but it did not work. I had to use the phone by the bed. I packed up all my things and went back downstairs to be given a new room and an apology. I was also given breakfast passes for the inconvenience, which was nice.

Extremely enjoyable stay

Pros: Staff, especially Jody, were excellent. Best HVAC system I've encountered--didn't wake up multiple times in night because of noise. they accommodated my requests, no pushback. Nice to see they have special program for UDEL parents.

Cons: I thought it was a closer walk to UD campus and Amtrak station.

Convenient and clean

Pros: The staff was really helpful and the kitchen was open late and I was even able to find something for my son who has celiac disease so that was a bonus.

Cons: It was more expensive then I would like but the convenience of being so close to the campus where my daughter goes made up for it a bit.

Overall great value, clean and friendly staff

Pros: Clean and great staff. The bar in the lobby is a great place to hang out.

Good stay at a pleasant hotel with great staff.

Pros: Great staff, clean rooms and nice restaurant/bar on site. Safe location away from the highway.
