Stay at Luna on Ridge Ave

Pros: If you want to stay in Philly with a family This is the place to stay

Cozy, well priced but with crucial downsides

Pros: The apartment was clean and cozy and well equipped. It was very well located on a main street and only 3-5 minutes of walking away from the next metro station, as well as from different stores and supermarkets. The pricing was fair and worth every cent.

Cons: The downside was, that there is no elevator and we were on the 4th floor. Depending on your luggage, it can be a burden. Second, the internet respectively the WLAN was shit, and I mean shit like not really usable. Steady disconnects or poor quality. Sending a few pictures over WhatsApp took nearly an hour. The bandwidth management here is terrible, and as an IT specialist by myself, I think it is either a terrible configuration or too less repeaters installed. Sorry, but this is not acceptable in 2025.

Great stay, nice apartment and good location.

Pros: The apartment was very spatious - with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It also had a balcony. It was very quiet on the working days. The apartment was facing the backyard, and had a very nice view. The location was convenient as well - close to the metro station, bus, and also walkable distance to the centre. The access was with door codes, all was working well and as expected.

Cons: The walls were quite thin, therefore on the weekends during the night I could hear too well people coming back from partying.

Pros: This was the second Stay at Luna hotel I stayed at and they are always brilliant! The room was large, with a very comfortable bed, ample storage room and an actual kitchen (including stove). The hotel is just two blocks away from the main Broad St. Septa line, which will get you to Center City in no time. The neighbourhood felt safe and calm. Chinatown, Reading Terminal Market and Eastern State Penitentiary are just a short walk away.

Cons: These are not really cons, just observations: Maybe I was unable to set it up properly, but the showerhead felt more like a pressure-washer :D. Also a trashcan for recyclables would be a nice addition.

Pros: Didn't have breakfast. But ordered dinner from Zuzus across the street. Food was excellent!

Cons: Was a little worried when I tried to phone the property and the mailbox was full. Would have liked to hear from them a little earlier than the day of the stay. But everything turned out fine!!

Nice clean and modern flat close to city centre

Pros: New , clean and modern room .Only around 1/2 hr walk into the city

Cons: I didn’t love the area where it was situated

Pros: I was on the top floor with my girl who I hadn’t seen for a month and it was very warm. Now I was putting in work so that may have contributed to the heat, but seemed very warm compared to lower floors below

Cons: Better ac

Pros: It was clean and spacious, and comfortable for family stay.

Cons: Someone knocked on the door early in the morning (7:00 am) and smoked on the landing. The WiFi did not work during the late evening. The apartment had some residual old smell from smoking on the staircase (and perhaps inside). We had a hard time finding street parking and ended up parking a mile away

Perfect little spot to enjoy the city from!

Pros: GREAT location! We were in town to see a show at the Met and this was the perfect choice! Why stay at a hotel when you can have your own cozy apartment in the city?

Cons: Parking is tough if that's a worry. We trained into the city so really didn't have to worry about it. All in all, great spot!
