Awesome Home with Awesome Host

Pros: The house is beautiful - just as pictured! The host thought of many things - and even had a boot dryer in the main living area. The hot tub was HOT when we arrived the first evening after skiing - which is huge (we stay at a lot of homes and that is not always the case). There were towels specifically for the hot tub placed in the laundry area next to the hot tub. The homeowner was incredibly responsive. I called when we arrived because (user problem) we couldn’t figure out the lockbox for the key. He was there immediately. I texted with questions- and answers arrived in 15 minutes or less.

Cons: It is both a plus and a. minus that it is quite remote. It is beautiful - but it also means that whatever you are going to need - you better bring with you. The nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away in the opposite direction from Elk Mountain. There isn’t a convenience store or little deli that we found between the mountain and the house. There are no local restaurants - we anticipated that and brought chili and spaghetti and meatballs, but I forgot to pack garlic for the garlic bread, so we did without. We almost ran out of wine and beer - but we squeaked through ok - so no harm, no foul. 😂
