Nice place.

Pros: Convenient hotel, friendly staff. Good coffee machine near the reception available 24/7, even possible to brew a short strong coffee to get started to work early. Good breakfast.

Cons: Restaurant / Bar closed very early. Room a bit too dark for our liking.

Always a guarantee

Pros: We stayed in this Hotel countless of times and it is time to give it a 10 to boost its rating. They recently renovated most of the rooms, and it pays. Rooms are spacious with no exceptions. Personnel is extremely friendly. They even improved the breakfast offer, which was one of the very few complains I had from my previous stays. The area is just amazing. One could spend weeks visiting historical sites nearby, quaint antiques stores, top-notch restaurants, world-class garden estates. I am still disappointed about the way they renovated the second floor of the lobby, but I understand the need of the business.

Cons: Restaurant on the other side still has somehow inconvenient opening hrs.

Best hotel in the charmiest area across DE

Pros: We come to this hotel every time we travel to Philadelphia and it is just never disappoints us. It has the convenience of a well established hotel chain with the flair of an inn. Personnel is extremely kind and forthcoming in trying to accommodate every customer’s request, which does not happen everywhere nowadays. People that stay here are usually attending weddings, so no people in underwear running through corridors. It was also recently renovated , though I personally think it lost a little bit of its majestic appeal by getting rid of the lobby on the 2nd floor. What makes this hotel a great place to stay is the size of the room and bathroom, and its location just a stone’s throw away from all the surroundings attractions: Longwood gardens, Dunlop mansions, etc .

Cons: Breakfast should be brought up a notch, with a greater selection of fresh fruits and freshly baked stuff.

Pros: We have been coming to this hotel since 2019 and we will be happy to do so in the future. There is simply no better place to stay in the area. Period. The place is just a guarantee. Rooms are bigger than average, personnel friendly, and breakfast richer than practically every other hotel we stayed in. Plus the area bordering Delaware is just wonderful, full of history, being located minutes away from the Winterthur Museum and the Longwood Gardens, both heritage of the DuPont family and both by themselves worth the travel if you are from PA or from out of state. Dine-out opportunities are also incredible.

Cons: Furniture and decorations may eventually need a major update. Would be nice if restaurant would be open throughout the week.

A great quiet, clean and inviting place to stay!

Pros: We loved the room, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness. It was wonderful to have both a keurig in the room and all the coffee, sugar, creamer all available in the lobby at all hours. The staff was super friendly, especially Tina.

Cons: I can't think of anything, we were completely satisfied with out stay!
