Luxury Apartment in Historic Carriage House

We had a great time and were very comfortable in this lovely apartment!

Pros: This apartment is spacious and very clean! It’s very stylish with nice touches, quiet and comfortable. It provided everything we needed. The photos are a true representation. My friend had her 7 month old baby with us and there was a cot available. Parking spot was perfect and checking in was easy. The hosts were always in touch, sent helpful information prior to our arrival, and are easy to communicate with. The location is great and walking distance just 2 minutes to the main street. It is a 7 minute drive to Longwood Gardens which was the aim of our visit. This place exceeded our expectations and I plan to come back again! I definitely recommend this booking; don’t hesitate! Thank you for having us :)

Pros: Great location. Excellent cleanliness. Wonderful decor. Loved the well-stocked pots and pans in the kitchen and quality appliances. Great shower. Nice to have the games and puzzle to do. We had a very relaxing time. Wonderful that we could walk to the historic part of Kennett Square and the apartment was very convenient to drive to attractions in the Brandywine Valley. Loved our stay.

Cons: Had trouble getting the entry code for the door so we could check in. Luckily another quest answered our knock and called the owner. He came right over and let us in.

Exceptional residence, beautifully decorated within walking distance to the heart of Kennett Sq!

Pros: This is a very special place. Located within 5 short-minutes into the heart of town, the residence is decorated beautifully and the hosts were super responsive and helpful. There are several exceptional coffee shops and restaurants very close by and the town is as charming as the residence. If you're looking to be in Kennett Square, this is THE place

Cons: The only thing I would add if this was my place is a K-cup coffee machine. There is a coffee machine there, and tea and sugar and even ground coffee - but since you asked - that's my one observation. Everything else gets a 10/10.

We had the rental for a Christmas present trip to Winterthur for our mother and it was great.

Pros: The property was absolutely lovely, clean, well stocked and totally more than we expected.

Cons: It was perfect in every way for our trip.

Lovely little Apartment: Great Location, But Parking Can be a Bit of a Nightmare

Pros: The apartment was spacious, well appointed, and perfect for two singles or two couples. The location to the small, quaint town of Kennett Square was excellent - perhaps a 5-minute walk into town filled with boutique shops, an excellent coffee shop, and several good dining options. The distance to Longwood Gardens was maybe 15 minutes - and it's a must see! You must dine at their new restaurant (1906) - which offers gourmet dining at a very reasonable price. One bedroom held a queen bed; the other a full-size bed. The single bathroom had a door from each bedroom, with ample space for sharing. Loved the living room, and the apartment had a small patio with two chairs and a table outside the kitchen. Not the best view as the yard and exterior building showed its age and were not well maintained, but it was quiet and peaceful way to end the day or start the morning.

Cons: Parking! I could write volumes on the troubles we had, but I'll keep it short. There is only one spot for guest parking in front of the apartment for each of the four units. The limited parking was not spelled out in the listing, and we only learned about the single spot a few days before our arrival in a welcome letter. It didn't appear to be an issue, as the host said there was street parking (but didn't share that it was metered parking with a 3-hour limit with limited spots) and a parking garage nearby. My friend used the spot at the rental, and I parked on the street. I expected that the meter could be replenished throughout the day using the app. I came to find that it was a 3-hour max, and I was unable to increase my time and payment, and I was nowhere near the car to move it. Frantic that the car would be towed, I called both the host and the police department. The host was not helpful, but once I was able to reach the police, the officer I spoke too was fantastic and took care of the situation. There was a funny ending to the story. After feeding the meter the second day via the app, (we were only going to be in town for a few hours and I didn't worry about a repeat parking fiasco), as we were walking into town, we had to pass my car: I couldn't believe my eyes - All the parking meters on the street had been removed!!! After all the anxiety the previous day, it appears that it was all for nothing! Just in case you stay at this property, and have two vehicles, park one in the garage, not at a meter!

The central location was super for touring the major Gardens in the area.

Pros: Beautifully decorated, clean, excellent shower and bed, a place for us to put a simple meal together.

Fantastic

Pros: The location was easy to find, clearly labeled and we arrived at night. Access was simple. Every detail to make us feel at home was thought about. The owners sent a detailed welcome message prior to arriving. The photos match the location.

Cons: Nothing could have been better. We will be planning another stay.
