Oasis Apartment in the Heart of Union Square Downtown Manhattan

Pros: Everything was perfect. The location is great and there are lots of facilities near by.

Pros: - Sara as a host was 10/10, great person, really attentive & responsive. Cannot fault her at all. Amazing!! - We stayed in the basement apartment, the location is amazing too. Close to so many shops, restaurants, bars & subway stations. And if you like walking it would take you 30-40mins to get to the main areas of NYC. - Having a kitchen with facilities & appliances was a + as we had breakfast at the apartment before heading out.

Cons: - This was quite a tight squeeze for 4 adults, it’s much more accommodating for 2-3 people. As the apartment itself is quite small & cosy. - There is 1 room with a double bed (totally fine) the other bed is a mattress which we chose to put on the floor in the living room. This did fit two people on it fine but once the mattress was out, all space was occupied in the living room. - At night you will tend to hear noise on the street (a few reviews have mentioned this already). It didn’t disturb us that much but you’ll hear - it we managed to sleep through it. A few of improvements to suggest: - The sofa itself can realistically seat 3 people at a squeeze, one leg of the sofa was missing so it dipped and will need fixing so it’s functional as when sitting on a part of it, the sofa dipped. - The shower head needs looking into as the water doesn’t flow normally on its normal setting it was “dribbling”, we had to change the head setting to push water through the centre of the head which worked better, higher pressure but then it meant less water was coming out of the head. - The stairs leading down to the basement had a lot of leaves accumulated, this made the stairs a bit more “slippy” and our shoes would then bring the leaves into the apartment which we were cleaning up daily (a hoover is provided) but would rather not have to do that. If this can be maintained that would be great!!

Cosy appartement in great location

Pros: Great location with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. The apartment is in the basement, but it’s very comfortable inside — equipped with everything you need, with a comfortable bed, pleasant temperature, and good cleanliness. Communication with the host, Sara, was excellent: fast, friendly, and very attentive.

Cons: One recommendation: bring earplugs for sleeping, as there are some unfamiliar street sounds at night, which can feel like someone is trying to enter. We stayed for two nights and were very happy with our stay.

Spotless, cosy flat near union square.A++++

Pros: Great location, easy to find - 1 minute walk from 3 AV subway (L line). Instructions very clear for check in/out procedure. Sara kept in touch throughout the stay, so really had an extra level of care. Everything you could need provided, and good kitchen facilities. Flat was spotless, sheets and towels also clean and fresh. A/C in living area, plus a tower fan in bedroom so the flat kept very cool. The area is great with loads of shops and restaurants and felt like a very safe neighbourhood. 5 mins walk to Union square with great subway lines. Flat was quiet, some traffic/street noise, but not too bad and no noise from the other flats. Will definitely return.

Great stay

Pros: Location, communication with host, quality of appliances in the apartment

Pros: Easily accessible location, great little apartment for my first visit to the city. I didn't use any of the kitchen facilities, but it seems reasonably well appointed - you could do well in there. If I'd been staying longer I would have picked up some coffee beans and breakfast foods from Trader Joe's down the street. Lots of great places to eat in the area, so I didn't bother with all that on this trip. Hope this place is available when I'm back in the summer!

Pros: Appartment is situated in nice and convenient part of downtoun. Near to subway, so it is easy to get any place. It is very cosy and well equiped with everything you need. Really. You can easily receive and to drop the keys.

Cons: Its on the 4th flour and a bit difficult to get it if you have havy luggage.

Great place, would stay again.

Pros: Location, space, facilities. Kettle for tea! Lovely decor. Proximity to subway and shops/food. Host very responsive. Would recommend.

Cons: Three floors up and no lift. We coped fine but was tough after a long day sightseeing. AC in living room but not bedroom. Again not a massive problem as not too hot but could be a problem in extreme heat.

Todo muy cómodo.

Pros: El apartamento era muy completo y estaba muy bien equipado, nos sentimos muy cómodos durante toda la estancia. Todo estaba limpio y cuidado, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera aún mejor. Queremos destacar especialmente a la propietaria, Sara, que fue muy amable en todo momento y nos resolvió todas las dudas que teníamos con rapidez y cercanía. Sin duda, un lugar muy recomendable.

Cons: Faltaban algunos utensilios de cocina.
