Beautiful, stately hotel steeped in history with all the comforts of home

Pros: Atmosphere is great, a home away from home. Great facilities and access right in the middle of Chestnut Hill. Staff. are attentive and personable.

Cons: nothing!

In short, I had a lovely stay at an historic hotel in a lovely area.

Pros: I loved the location on Chestnut Hill and the fact that this is an historic building. The surrounding area is very walkable with cute little shops, a variety of restaurants, and beautiful churches and old homes off the main street. The staff was very friendly, also.

Cons: It is nice that breakfast is included though I would describe it as just adequate. There are not many options for vegans and the coffee is only from a machine.

Pros: Super cozy and the best part was having a terrycloth robe to lounge around in! The food market next door was a bonus with lots of great options.

I enjoyed my stay with my friends.

Pros: Booking the rooms for myself and a friend proved unnerving through booking.com. My friend was charged at a higher rate with much higher taxes for no particular reason as we were on the same floor in the exact same style rooms and no justification for the extra charges.

Cons: The dining room needs improving and breakfast is less than adequate.

Lots of charm

Pros: Staff were very courteous. Hotel had a lot of charm. Beds were super comfy. I hate hotel pillows and always travel with my own, these pillows were just perfect!

Pros: The kindness of the staff! She even came out to my car to give me my parking pass late at night when it was freezing cold. How kind! Easy check-in. Quiet comfortable stay. Great breakfast. Thank you !

Cons: Only that room 202 is so close to the elevator you can hear it but it is a very quiet elevator. So nothing so bad!

An entirely lovely experience

Pros: The hotel is a beautiful old building on the main street of a charming town. The room was large and well appointed with many thoughtful touches. Staff were all exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast had a generous array of fresh fruits, juices, coffee, teas and high quality standards like Greek yogurt, eggs and pastries.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this hotel when we are in the Philly area again.

Pros: The room was great. Beds were comfortable , tv was large , nespresso machine and the free breakfast were perfect.

Cons: The pillows were terrible and had a weird smell.

Great place, great location

Pros: The historic architecture added significant charm to the property. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed and a clean, well-appointed bathroom. The staff were outstanding, friendly, attentive, and accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Even the breakfast in the morning was tremendous.

Cons: We did have an issue with the shower in our room, but it was quickly fixed by the staff
