Bischoff Inn - Former 1870 Furniture Factory Now 5 Room Boutique Hotel

Unexpectedly lovely respite in Tamaqua. We never thought such a hotel would have existed there.

Pros: The hotel was an unexpectedly lovely respite in Tamaqua, a place where we wouldn’t have expected such a property. The rooms were comfortable and the self service pantry had a nice selection of drinks and healthy snacks. The other occupants were friendly and used the common area without making too much noise. Although there was no interaction with the Innkeeper, entry and checkout was smooth and trouble free.. The room size was sufficient for our one night stay. The bed was comfortable, we were able to control the HVAC system for our comfort level, and the shower and bathroom amenities were nice. There were sufficient hangers but it would have been nice to have the floor length mirror in an open area. Overall though, the stay was very nice and we will definitely stay at the Bischoff Inn when we visit Tamaqua again.

Cons: The floor length mirror was hidden. A suggestion: It would have been nice to see the attached artist studio.

Pros: I have an appreciation for anything well crafted/designed. The aesthetics of this property for the entrance/main room to the individual room are so well put together. Outside the creativity I found the bed and shower some of the best in my travels. I neither saw nor heard anyone during my stay (enter with a digital key code from online reservation)—The serenity was incredible. In particular I enjoyed the framed, hand-lettered advertisement as art above the kitchen cabinets. KUDOS all around.

Cons: Bathroom sink drain. But really??

Pros: This is a unique property. Loved its atmosphere, attention to detail, and comfort. The common area was awesome...met other very nice guests and the innkeeper was very attentive. Property was clean and pristine!

Cons: Nothing to dislike. The inn fit our needs perfectly.

Pros: Not a cookie cutter hotel. Well restored historic building artistically decorated. Located in a nice Tamaque neighborhood. Clean and comfortable.

Quaint and quirky, the hotel is one of a kind.

Pros: GREAT coffee machine in the “lobby”. Artful decor and exposed brick. Charming.

Cons: Parking was sparse.

Pros: The vibe / atmosphere. Relaxing. Comfortable beds . Nice manager.
