Mountain Creek Resort at Appalachian Hotel - Pool & Hot Tub

Overall great first trip skiing!

Pros: Location was convenient as it was right by the door to the slopes although that made it incredibly loud at night with people walking in and out with ski gear (not something in the host’s control). We had mostly everything we needed to make breakfast each morning. Shower pressure was great. Master bed was very comfortable.

Cons: The pull out couch for the kids was very dirty with tons of crumbs when we arrived and we weren’t sure if the extra sheets were clean (they had a funky odor to them).

Pros: The property is at the ski slope, so you can rest and recharge in the middle of the day and then continued the skiing. The apartment is clean, comfortable and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons: The kitchen area is really tiny.

Perfect Weekend Destination

Pros: Everything about the place!★ The owners are incredible in providing us detailed instructions during our stay which makes it so convenient, worth it and enjoyable! This condotel was a haven outside home. The accommodation was complete with basic necessities; all you have to do is bring your change of clothes! We only stayed during the weekend, but it was the best summer vacation of the year spending quality time with my family♥ The Appalachian at Mountain Creek is so elegant and luxurious with its amenities - hot tubs, heated pools, game areas (ping pong and especially the pool table), and activities like the Bike Park, the Zipline Tour, the Biergarten dining area.... Everything is so clean and wonderfully managed. Kudos to this place!★ We will surely come back for more!♥

Cons: Just the lantern flies outside and a lot of them, which I don't expect to be ridden since it is Mother Nature's pets! We learned to live with them during our stay and really, they're not a bother until 1 of them attacked and scratched my leg but i'm fine 😀

Excellent quiet getaway to relax and end our summer.

Pros: I loved how easy it was to get into the room with the instructions provided. The size of the resort was nice and small so it was extremely easy to navigate. The convenience store located at the front of the hotel had anything we needed for when we didn't feel like going to a formal store/restaurant. Pool was exactly as described and my husband loved the sauna!

Cons: The only thing I would have recommended would be to have pool towels available. However, that was clearly stated in the description that they were not there. Everything else was perfect, so there was nothing else that would have been needed.

Pros: Very conveniently positioned near the ski resort. Great pool and video room. Super nice bedroom.

Cons: Price of the room is expensive and hotel itself is a bot aged.

Pros: First floor was very convenient. My son enjoyed heading out the patio door and to the lift while I finished up and went out the main door.

Cons: The door codes did not all work on all the doors….not the property owners fault. O just had to remember to walk around to the main door or the pool door.

Pros: Loved the clean, modern room. Loved the pool and hot tub

Cons: Didnt like that the pub wasnt open on weekdays. Also didnt like that the price we paid was much higher than similar rooms still available on wb at the time we were there. When I booked it said only 1 room left.

Pros: The pool and hot tub are amazing! Very clean and comfortable lodge space and the fire was also lovely.

Cons: It was great but some basics such as salt and oil would have been good to have.
