Motel 6 Wilkes Barre Arena

Will be back

Pros: Comfortable, clean, good location, reasonable rates. Allows pets at no charge, unlike others. No frills but gets the job done

Cons: Shower - hot water was only lukewarm. Don’t remember this being an issue previously

Pleasantly surprised.

Pros: I loved and appreciated the kitchen and little dining nook. The bed was comfortable and location was great. It was my first stay at Motel 6 and I will definitely stay at this location again!

Cons: Front desk staff were kind of ho-hum.

Stay was pleasurable, no one disturbed us.

Pros: Coffee supplied was good, when available… but sometimes it wasn’t made available when it was supposed to be. Breakfast not included

Cons: More towels supplied for two

Pros: This location is clean with basic amenities. Staff are helpful and there's plenty of parking

Pros: I have a friend that lives in Wilkes-Barre, sadly due to his wife being very ill we did not meet. The Motel was very handy for Route 81, our next port of call for Harrisburg. All going well! The staff were very helpful 🙂!

Cons: Really all not much to say here.

Pros: When stayed booked a full room and let me upgrade to a king room and wasn't bad upcharge price. Everything was good

Pros: It was very nice for a motel 6. I’ve had much worse experiences in a motel 6, and this one pleasantly surprised me. The front desk lady was so sweet and welcoming (Aliyah? Maybe?). She really made me feel safe there and was super accommodating. The room was basic and clean.

Cons: The area seemed a little sketchy, but it’s close by several other hotels so I wasn’t as worried.

Motel 6 was our favourite

Pros: All other properties were going for $200-400 a night when i booked our stay here. It was $200 for two nights, and while i wish the room was bigger (it was the cheapest one so i can’t complain) it was big enough to be comfortable. Large mini fridge and decent sized bathroom/shower. The tv was small, but bigger than expected from photos. It was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly professional and helpful. We arrived at 11am instead of our 3pm due to my own error and the staff member at the desk let us check in right away! Even on a weekend that was going to be pretty booked up. Its not a 5 star hotel, but its better than expected for a motel 6. The location is amazing if you are in town for an event at the arena. Many restaurants and stores within a mile. I would stay again if i needed a budget friendly option in the area.

Cons: Personally i would have preferred a softer bed and a bigger shower. Otherwise for the cost i knew what i was getting and can’t complain.
