Really loved the hotel vibe, but was expecting much better from the kitchen facilities.
Pros: We liked the location: in midtown but off the ‘main drags’. A ‘comfortably faded glamour’ aesthetic with what felt like very large rooms (and bed) for the location/price. aAnd staff who made you feel welcome.
Cons: We were hoping for a larger and better-equipped kitchenette: we wanted to do breakfast in our room and so booked a room here accordingly. The fridge was huge in comparison to the rest of the facilities, and there was a decent number of kitchen cup’ds and a microwave combi oven. But there was only one plate, mug, glass, knife fork and (table)spoon per person. There we no hotplates, no bowls, no coffee/teaspoons, no cutting boards, no cutting knifes, (serrated for bread, un-serrated for fruit, cheese, cake, meat, etc,) no serving dishes, no pans and no place in the kitchen we had to put them on a worktop and use them. The provided mugs didn’t fit under the coffee (pod) machine and if you wanted to plug in the toaster, the kettle and the coffee machine all at once, there was only powerpoints (and worktop space) for 2 of them at a time. The photos on the Booking.com website left us to expect better. We managed breakfast for ourselves, but it seems unrealistic to provide kitchen facilities in a suite without providing the utensils (and space) to make use of these facilities properly. Other rooms may be so equipped. Ours wasn’t. I don’t consider it reasonable to suggest we were meant to ask staff/make a fuss for these additional kitchen items if we wanted them: why would we want to book a room with kitchen facilities if we didn’t want to use them? The staff were responsive to any requests. But we didn’t want to risk wrecking our stay by having to be confrontational on the issue. What if the answer was ‘we don’t supply these items’. Where does the customer go next? We write this from a constructive criticism/customer viewpoint perspective. We hope it helps.

Perfect midtown stay, spacious rooms!
Pros: The Lombardy was perfect for our stay in Midtown Manhattan; spacious rooms for New York, a great little kitchenette, a nice balcony with a table and chairs to have your morning coffee and watch the city wake up. It’s two blocks from Central Park and a short walk to the subway. No surprise charges which I can’t say for all NY hotels. Staff were very nice; we will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.

Perfect Location in Midtown
Pros: I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lombardy Hotel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and valued. A special shoutout to Jimmy, who goes above and beyond to ensure guests have an exceptional stay—his hospitality truly stands out! The bed was incredibly comfortable, offering the perfect rest after exploring the city. On top of that, the hotel's location in Midtown is unbeatable—everything is within reach, making it easy to enjoy all that NYC has to offer. If you're looking for a hotel that combines comfort, outstanding service, and a prime location, The Lombardy is definitely the place to be. Highly recommended
Cons: As any spot in Manhattan, you gotta make a reservation in advance.

Perfect place for a family
Pros: There is no breakfast facility at the hotel, but many recommendations for cafes nearby. Since this is in the midst of Manhattan, finding a breakfast place isn't tough. Just a block away from a subway station, the hotel is very conveniently located. The front desk is very helpful and the daily housekeeping is such a boon. Toiletries and towels are replenished and changed every day. It felt like a hotel, with the convenience of an apartment. It's tough to find an apartment hotel in Manhattan and Lombardy worked perfectly for us as a family of four.
Cons: Each apartment in The Lombardy is furnished by their owner, so facilities are not the same. We wanted 2 king beds, so were moved to another apartment than what we checked in, but that didn't have either a dishwasher or a washer dryer, while the original one didn't have 2 king beds. In hindsight, we should have kept the original coz we were provided with a roll-away bed immediately and the view from that was better since it was street facing.

Lovely place with good bed and away from the noise of the big avenues! excellent location close to many places to visit!
Pros: The location was perfect, we could walk to a lot of place at less than 20 min (central station, Central Park, 5th avenue, time square, Rockefeller, summit, Empire State….) Subway was at 3 min walking Personnel was sympathic and attentionated
Cons: Only 2 lifter with one almost out of order all the time This kitchen wasn’t welle equipped, we had to ask to get plate, glaces…
