The Nolita Express Hostel

Pros: The location is perfect, everything was clean, the decor is superb!

Cons: Keep in mind that you will be staying in an old New York tenement building, meaning there is no elevator and the staircase is quite steep! It is best if you pack light and bring a smaller luggage if possible, otherwise everything was great!

Classy spot

Pros: I really enjoyed the vibe this places had with all of its classy design in shared spaces + high quality and clean bathroom's

Cons: The sleeping area could get some better accustic separation as You could easily hear near by folks snoring.

Pros: It was great in terms of price-quality ratio. Cozy private space at the cheap price in NYC. The location is great, the hostel is clean and beautifully designed, it has shared bathrooms, kitchen, even a small makeup room. There is a female floor also. Employees are helpful. You can take there earplugs in case your neighbours make some noise :)

Cosy beautiful safe n convenient

Pros: First the receptionists were very kind & helpful. Both the guys on duty during my check-in and check-out helped me to carry my 25kg luggage to and from the room/level. I really appreciate 🙏 their help. Second, I like the personal single room with lock 🔐. My stuff are secured n safe when I left it whenever I went out. Third, I like the variety of seatings ( sofa, dining tables, armchairs, counter top) provided. I can lay down n rest, eat my meal or have conference call ..js choose whichever seating tht I prefer. It is not crowded. Everyone respect the rules.. the cleaners cleaned the kitchen, replaced the bins with fresh garbage plastic, swept n mopped the floor. Finally, Nolita hostel is easy to find as it is located at the main road. The subway lines to get to it or to go anywhere from it are abundance n within 5 to 6 minute walk.

Cons: It would be good to have bidet for the toilet as it is more hygienic to wash after myself.

Pros: The staff is friendly, and the hostel is overall clean. The common areas (bathrooms, toilets, kitchen) are well maintained and well equipped. The women-only floor is particularly interesting, especially for solo female travelers. The pods are quite good; they are secure and contain only the essentials, which is perfectly adequate. However, they are not suitable for everyone. If you’re over 1.65 m tall, this may not be the right option for you.

Cons: The lights are constantly on; there should be automatic lighting like in the toilets and bathroom.

A strategically located and beautifully designed place

Pros: This place has a really strategic location, and I found the idea of the small cabins very interesting. Of course, since the cabins are open at the top, you can hear some noise if someone is loud, but during my stay everyone was very respectful and quiet. I really liked the concept — it has the atmosphere of a hostel, but with independent cabins where you can keep your things safely and enjoy some privacy without having to use a locker all the time. Everything was always very clean, the common areas are pleasant, and the kitchen is functional. Overall, I really liked everything — the location is beautiful and practical, and the whole experience was great.

Cons: It's not the most cheap place, but it's convenient.

Basic private cabins on a great location with safe locks and good amenities

Pros: You get what you pay (a lot) for. Small rooms, but hey, it's New York. Private cabin, good amenities, friendly staff

Cons: Bring earplugs. 30 cabins with snoring people gets pretty loud

Pros: I loved the way that it was decorated, with great attention to detail and use of space. I felt comfortable and it was clean and the stuff were helpful and polite.

Pros: Cute decorations, comfortable beds, and super-fast check-in and check-out.

Cons: Not accessible, with lots of stairs to climb carrying luggage. The service was mixed, one amazing and super helpful guy and the other was grumpy.

All in all a cool stay with great staff and well connected location in the city.

Pros: Interesting place and concept. Very helpful staff at the property, nice little kitchen with free tea/coffee, and water; cool, comfortable lounge with music, strong WiFi.

Cons: Water temps in shower, difficult to have a cold shower, but obviously it’s an old building… with the open boxes one can hear everything (and can be heard)…
