Beautiful hotel 2 mins from Delancey St subway

Pros: We loved the cool quaint traditional but classy decor and the friendly family energy of the hotel. The room was really spacious and we'll equipped and the cookies available to buy in reception were great!

Cons: Lighting was a little dim and the heating a little high.

If you want quirky but wonderful- this place is PERFECT

Pros: This is not your typical generic hotel. The whole place was quirky and unique but wonderful and felt \

Cons: The weekend nightlife in the area was noisy but double glazing kept the room as quiet as any NYC location.

fun, eccentric hotel in great area

Pros: They allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby outside of our stay, the room was a great size and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Great value for money and lots of great cafes/restaurants and shops right outside the hotel

Pros: We had such a wonderful stay here. The staff were unbelievably helpful and great to chat with. They gave us great advice on spots in the area and help with taxis. Dovid is the best front desk manager! The room was fabulous and super comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and will always stay here from now on when we’re in NYC

Excellent value for money in a retro hotel.

Pros: Good size room with personal digital access code. Very comfortable bed and bathroom was clean and bright. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Hotel is in a good location only a 5 min walk to the nearest subway and a choice of bars and cafes all within the local area.

Cons: No safe in room they are located in the basement area and housekeeping has to be requested if you require a daily clean.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in NYC again

Pros: Everything Location, size of rooms, enormous comfy beds - actually the comfiest beds I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, character and charm to the building and lastly the staff just brilliant

Cons: Nothing - perfect hotel.

Wonderful staff, feature packed rooms in a unique and charming historic hotel

Pros: Incredibly charming hotel in an amazing area. This isn't a 5* Luxury resort on a private island; it's a historic building in the bustling and exciting cultural centre of New York run by real people and not a massive corporation. I always love my stays here. The hotel has everything that I like for a longer stay: large bed, large TV, good size fridge (not minibar), bathtub and fast Wifi. The rooms and hotel have a lot of character. Wonderful staff: friendly and can never help enough. I love it here; I can see why some reviewers are disappointed as the neighbourhood is, of course, noisy, and the hotel as a historic building has its quirks, but if you're looking for a real New York experience, then this is a great place to stay.

Cons: The Luxury Junior suite's TV is a bit on an angle. I wonder if it could be arranged differently to have a TV on the end of the bed. I'm nitpicking, though, as it's a great room.

A great stay in a beautifully restored building in a great part of town.

Pros: The hotel was filled with charm and character. My room was large and I loved the vibe - the light, the windows that opened, the shutters, the massive bed and deep bath. It was surprisingly quiet and very dark - I had a great sleep. While the entry area and staff aren’t slick they are friendly and helpful. My bags were looked after before check in and after check out. Close to subway and great food options nearby. The tenement museum is right across the street.

Cons: Was disappointed that the restaurant was closed during my stay.

A great place to stay in NYC, especially if you're a solo traveller

Pros: Great location, quiet despite being in centre of city. Room was as advertised, clean and the balcony was very nice. I did not try the breakfast.

Cons: Some of the door close a little energetically so they can slam.
