Pros: Amazing location, right on the door step of central park. Beautiful old style with charm.

Great stay in the heart of Manhattan

Pros: Great location right at the corner of Central Park and Fith Avenue! The hotel team is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt like being at home and had a great time at The Sherry Netherland. Perfectly!

Cons: Nothing.

Old style NY hotel but what a location

Pros: Everything - the room was excellent, the staff brilliant, location could not be better for what we wanted. Having such an excellent venue for breakfast/drinks/food next door was also great. All this and such a comfortable bed, and lots of amenities in the room. Please note its Art Deco or thereabouts, so some may call it old style - we arrived on the Queen Mary 2 so it fitted in with the style perfectly.

Cons: It is pricy but then you have to look at location and history - if its good enough for David Bowie ... !! Other than that and a problem with the safe it was a great stay.

As good as it gets

Pros: Tasteful modernisation of an older property. Staff could not have been more helpful. Perfectly located. Not cheap, but a real treat. Stayed in some great hotels and this was as good as the best.

Just the prefect place to stay for a week in New York. We will return!

Pros: The location on 5th Av and 59th Street (Midtown, south east corner of Central Park) is just the best. The staff were exceptional and the room (1615) beautifully designed and quiet. We stayed 6 nights. The bed was really comfortable with quality linen and pillows. We also liked the Cipriani restaurant next door, which can be accessed through a door in the hotel lobby. We had breakfasts there and a lunch. Hotel guests get a 20% discount. It's a popular venue, so lunch/dinner reservations are recommended.

Cons: Nothing - and I don't often say that!

Excellent location, fair pricing. Kind of dated building. Excellent staff.

Pros: Staff is pleasant and courteous. Location is excellent. View as well. Our suite was well appointed, pleasant and tastefully furnished. Bed is comfortable.

Cons: Noisy air conditioning unit. There was no one at the business centre (on two occasions) to help with printing. Room service with limited hours, relying on Harry Cipriani - the ground floor restaurant that also acts like hotel restaurant. Street noise may be a little annoying at times ; sound insulation is clearly dated.

A great stay in an amazing Hotel, loved it!

Pros: A beautiful Hotel in an amazing location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, just a fantastic Hotel.

Pros: The whole experience was exceptional.From the moment you arrive you are cared for by such lovely friendy and caring staff. The painted ceilings are truely breathtaking and the lift interior is stunning. You are escorted in the lift every time you call it. The room. is huge and sumptous with everything you could possible need provided. This is a proper old school hotel and worth every penny. Im visually impaired and this was my first trip away in many years and they we fantastic at helping me whenever i asked. The attached restaurant which has been open since 1927 is wonderful from breakfast through to dinner. If im ever able to i would definatly stay here again. I would like to thank the housekeeping lady who was so kind and caring.

Cons: There was nothing i didnt like.

Pros: A truely unique and magical hotel wiyh so much history. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They know you by name. So frienfly snd helpful. The pictures dont do justice to the srtwork on the ceilings or the lifts. The room is amazingly appointed with everything and more that you could need. The beds are dupurbly comfortsbke. The hotel is at the top of 5 th ave opp central park so perfect. They sre very dog friendly too. If im able to return to NY it will be the only place i would stsy. The restaurant attached is supurb from breakfast through to dinner and evetything inbetween.

Cons: I have no complaints at all.

Pros: Stylish and well located - spacious rooms and so quiet for such a central location
