Pros: An ideal location in the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence — it truly doesn’t get any better than this. A beautiful, authentic historic house with a cozy atmosphere and true hospitality. The breakfast deserves a special mention — the baked goods will stay in our hearts forever ❤️ Absolutely delicious and homemade. We would also like to sincerely thank the staff for their honesty and care: we accidentally left a ring in the room, and the team found it and kindly mailed it back to us. This means a lot and deserves the highest praise. You are amazing! Thank you for such a warm and memorable stay. We would love to come back again.

Cons: Somewhat tired furniture with only one hanger in the wardrobe. Lots of stairs.

Pros: The Morris House is a beautiful historic hotel with an unprecedented atmosphere! The welcome was very warm and accompanied with a brief history of philadelphia. We felt like home right from the beginning.

Excellent stay

Pros: Beautiful character bed and breakfast. Spacious oldy world room. Great breakfast. Great location Only downside was the noisy aircon but wouldn’t put us off staying again

Pros: Charming hotel with great location for sightseeing. Staff was excellent and service was amazing throughout our stay. Liked the cozy, historical rooms. The light breakfast served was simple, but a nice start to our day.

A Philadelphia stay seeped in history!

Pros: It was an authentic Philadelphia experience, the antiquety, the history, and beautifully done. If you like history, this is a place to stay!

Pros: Location is brilliant for being able to see alot of the historical part of Philidelphia, the building was beautiful and I loved the fact that check in included a brief history of the hotel, staff were very friendly and always said hi or morning. I loved the afternoon cookies and coffee / tea they offered, I've never known any other hotel/b&b do that. The room was a very good size and the bed was very comfortable. Our first day at the botel they gave us a map with suggested places to visit, which was also an enjoyable moment. Would highly recommend staying at Morris House Hotel!

Cons: The options for breakfast were very limited, especially if anyone in your party (or yourself) has coealic. Could habe done with a full length mirror in the room, there was one hidden in a wardrobe we found the last 2 days of our stay. The windows in our room did let a lot of outdoor noise in, so some distrubed nights but nothing horrendous. The room could have done with another main light to light up the other half of the room.
