Hotel Indigo NYC Downtown - Wall Street by IHG

Overall we both very much enjoyed our stay.

Pros: A nice quiet location. We deliberately picked this hotel as it was away from the chaos of somewhere like Times Square. The subway means you can get to all the sites easily. We didn’t use the subway however and walked mostly as we are both able and keen walkers. I asked for a quiet room and I was given exactly that. The bed and the pillows were great. We both slept very well. The air conditioning was effective and not too noisy at all. So we were kept cool despite the hot evenings. Generally friendly staff (one exception) which will be mentioned later. The restaurant bar staff (Elias and the lady manager) were especially nice. Nice shower cubicle and decent shower. Nice toiletries. Decent breakfast menu. We had breakfast included and you are offered a set menu but I feel most people will find something that suits them.

Cons: When checking in the lady who checked us in seemed quite rude and not helpful at all. I was listening to the other lady checking in another couple at the same time and she was a lot more friendly. Ours seemed to have an attitude and was unhelpful. She was the blonde lady whose name began with ‘D’. Nowhere to hang up clothes in bathroom. Addition of bathrobes in bedrooms would be a big plus.

Pros: Top location, so central in this huge city. Nice room with two queen beds, good fit for us two adults and one child (6). Close to NYSE, financial district, ferry to Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn bridge. Five min walk to bus stop for Hop on Big Bus. Good hot shower, nice amenities as shampoo etc. Delicious breakfast and top service from Ralph and Paulisha at the front desk. Good quality housekeeping clean and comfy room. Top sushi around the corner at Mikado. Would go straight back to this hotel!!

Cons: Rooms are small but that is New York.

Pros: Los cuartos son muy cómodos y modernos excelente hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and modern excellent hotel.

Great location and comfort and was excellent value.

Pros: Location of the hotel close to the subway, the comfort and cleanliness of the room, and knowledgeable and efficient reception staff. The shower was very good and liked the lighting in the room. The hotel provides a bottle of water for each guest each day.

Cons: The rooms are small but there is everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Pros: The breakfast included are one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. It’s not just standard buffet but an a la carte menu with excellent choices. The location is just 4 mins away from the main subways that go to both midtown and Brooklyn. It’s within walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions such as One World Trade Center, Brooklyn bridge walking track, Chinatown, ferry to Statue of Liberty. We had a really good time staying here.

Hotel Indigo keeps its promises!

Pros: In these times where NY hotel prices have gone through the roof, the hotel Indigo still provides value for money. The rooms are small but for a single traveler they are well appointed with an excellent bed and a spacious shower stall. The breakfast which was included in my rate was very good and I enjoyed my interaction with all the staff who made my stay very comfortable. An added bonus is the location right on water street and for me in easy reach of my office.

Everything was good.

Pros: Great hotel location. Amazing view from the window. In the evening, you can enjoy the rooftop bar, where the view and atmosphere are wonderful. Good breakfast from the menu. Close to the park where cruises to the Statue of Liberty depart. A grocery store is just across the street.

Cons: There are very few tables in the bar where breakfast is served in the morning. You have to wait in line for a free table. Coffee is only available black or with milk; there is an extra charge for other types of coffee. The young lady working in the bar in the morning is not very friendly (my personal feeling). An additional fee, not mentioned on booking.com, is charged. Although it is refundable if you don't damage the room, there should be information about it on the booking website.
