Hampton Inn & Suites Newark-Harrison-Riverwalk

Pros: Great room, great facilities & great breakfast

As a first time guest, it was good except not having excess from side doors.

Pros: Coffee was not hot in the morning, but very hot during the day/night. Bathroom tub/shower facets ran at the same time but only needed shower to run.

Cons: Housekeeping service to be provided daily, unless the do not disturb sign is on the door.

Pros: It was affordable, staff very helpful and breakfast was good.

Very good stay overall, the staff were super!

Pros: Staff was so friendly and helpful! The kids loved the pool. Location was great, however not easy to walk to places, we travelled around mostly using Uber which was very efficient

Cons: There was some garbage left under one of the beds.

Pros: I had an excellent stay—the staff were friendly, and the place was spotless.

Cons: One day, there was construction work that caused the water to turn brown, leaving us unable to shower or brush our teeth. It was unfortunate that management couldn’t offer any accommodations to address the issue.

Room was good but if you're in a rush don't rely on coffee too wake you up!

Pros: Size of room, bed, generally the room was not an issue. Clean and quiet!

Cons: Sadly, the breakfast was a mixed bag- room had tables with mess on and you had to clean them yourself, people were filling their coffee cups to take away so had to wait over 20 minutes for coffee ( solution easy - buy another coffee holder! ) we had to inform the desk, who were quick, then the coffee holder was taken, filled up and brought back in which time more people needed coffee! We didn't get a second cup because people were just waiting and it needed to be refilled! (Dead easy to solve!)... That said they made a pot of porridge that was excellent ( not from a microwave packet)... good selection of fruit, pastries, bread and waffles.

Staff made the stay a very pleasurable one

Pros: Check in was smooth and once I had explained about not being able to close or open the blind the night manager Tim came and inspected it and when it fell off the wall as he was trying to pull it up he organised a room swap and upgrade

Cons: The fixtures in the first room I had could have been in better repair - door hanging of a cupboard and the roller blind not being attached to the wall properly. Breakfast was disappointing - on day two they ran out of paper plates and so everyone had to eat eggs potatoes and sausage out of a bowl - on day 3 ran out of coffee with 45 mins left and didn't refill it so had no hot drink that morning

Pros: Breakfast is very good, hotel is clean and staffs are nice.

Cons: Only thing let me disappointment is the bed sheet is not clean, looks it was not changed, or not washer in good. Because I got a tired day, s I have not contacted with front desk.

20 minutes drive by car from Manhattan

Pros: Very friendly staff, nice hotel, but little bit worn out. However we had good stay and suggest other travelers if you are looking last minute stay nearbt New York, but in budget. We drove some 20 minutes from Manhattan by car - so perfect!

Cons: Please note that the parking is for additional money. Unfortunately when we arrived at the breakfast most of the food ended. The food area was messy as no employ who take care of it. Maybe we just got in wrong moment. However it will not stop us to stay again in the future. :)

Pros: Both the room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and the location was nice by the riverfront. There were some homeless people living right by the hotel, which may be uncomfortable when returning on foot at night. Breakfast was quite good, but the scrambled eggs were very dry.
