Beautiful Hotel!!

Pros: The bed was so comfortable and large!! The hotel was a historic building and the decor inside reflected the history. It was a beautiful modern hotel with very interesting displays about its past.

Pros: We love the Du Pont, especially Le Cav which is worth the price of admission

Pros: The hotel is beautiful and well preserved. Our room was so nice with good amenities.

Cons: The bath tub did not work and was not as clean as the rest of the room (hair was in the tub).

The hotel DuPont is a trip to a bygone era of decadence and is perfect for couples.

Pros: The room was beautiful and well appointed. The tub is a couples paradise 😍. Room service staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was fresh and yummy.

Cons: The price point is excessive at $500 + Shuttle service is apparently dependent on one individual. My husband band and me were extremely impressed with the luxurious experience with the shuttle service. The young man who drove was especially personable and very knowledgeable of the city. We were attending a wedding at The Queen eleven blocks away from The hotel DuPont. The hotel concierge advised us to call the front desk when we were ready to return after the reception (10:30 pm). That made us feel safe (we’re 60) and confident about getting back to the hotel safely in the late evening. Imagine our surprise when we called the front desk at 9:30 pm for a 10:30 pick up only to be told the driver went home early?? So, we ended up figuring out how to get the uber to pick us and our two year old granddaughter. I was very disappointed and candidly, expected better from such an upscale establishment that charges a premium on all services, accommodations and meals. Rodney Square is the place to walk your pets. Conveniently located across the street from the hotel. The issues is the homeless encampments and filthy conditions. Pet waste had piled up and it did not feel safe. Perhaps the hotel owner can work with the city to insure the square is kept clean and secure.

Pros: Love the spacious, well-appointed room. Also Le Cavalier, the restaurant, is not to miss.

Pros: The room was good. The onsite restaurant, though pricey, was good. And the facility itself is historic and well maintained.

Cons: I was not fond of the bedding.

Cons: It feels a bit cheapened with the renovation. Should have marble bathrooms, not plastic sink countertops. It’s all in the details…

Great hotel but check your bill before you leave

Pros: I loved the clean big room, huge bathroom and the beautiful hotel. Very nice staff

Cons: At check-in, I verified that I had booked a reservation 1 year in advance and had paid through booking.com a week in advance. (Paid $461 for 1 night) I left my debit card for incidentals and was notified by my bank, in the middle of a wedding reception, that I was charged $594!!! I had to go to the desk to question this and they said it would be reversed. However, it is a day later and the charge is still pending. This is not right and I do not have access to my cash. I also had an extra valet ticket added to my bill and had to have that adjusted. The car belonged to a relative and not me.
