Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New Castle

Pros: Great little hotel exceptional cleanness and coziness and with taste. Disappointing breakfast. I was expecting the breakfast quality to go along with the overall great quality of the hotel. It was disappointing the food no variety and especially the plastic one time use utensils, plates and cups.

Perfect accommodations, less than perfect staff.

Pros: We weren’t there long…two weary travelers just needing some sleep before continuing our trip. The hotel itself was lovely. Clean, great bed, perfect facilities.

Cons: Granted, we booked our room at 1:00am on the road & exhausted…but we were greeted by Shae, who reluctantly emerged from wherever she was to assist with our check in. She proceeded to tell me we didn’t have a reservation & I should “just cancel” a non refundable Priceline reservation. “You can always cancel a reservation” even after I showed her all of the online confirmations & associated account numbers. 30 minutes later we secured the room that should have been an easy check in. I understand she was tired or inconvenienced, but so was I. She was rude & not at all accommodating, all while I was very accommodating & pleasant. I get that it was really late. But don’t allow booking of a room if it’s “too late”. On the other hand the hotel itself was lovely & perfect. It made me sad I didn’t have longer than 7 hours there. Truly top notch. But the hospitality needs an upgrade.

We were traveling from NC to VT was a great place to stay to split the drive up.

Pros: The New Castle Fairfield was very nice. The room was quiet and clean. The list of restaurants for dinner was helpful.

Cons: We didn't have any issues with our stay.
