I’ll be back again for my fourth visit!
Pros: I have stayed here 3 times now over the last 12 years and it has been consistently a great hotel. Ideally located, friendly reception staff.
Cons: Struggled to use the vending machine - other than that the only thing I don’t like is that I can’t stay longer

Pros: It’s a stunning building, room was very nice - shower was hot and the bed was so comfy! I think they’re having renovation works done though as there was a lot of loud banging. Staff were so friendly, the lady on check in showed me all the different places to go and how to get there and even gave me a free upgrade!
Cons: The mini fridge in the room had a mind of its own, every so often it would let out this loud buzzing sound. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls, the renovations and just people walking up and down the corridor.

Pros: In a brilliant location-very close to Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho , Greenwich, Brooklyn Bridge and underground stations. Great not being in the chaos of Midtown! Loved the cosy and comfortable decor . Friendly and helpful staff. Help yourself to Tea and coffee in the morning was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again if returning to NY

Perfect value & location
Pros: Sohotel is located perfectly at the edge of Soho and Little Italy - perfect location, walking distance from groceries, pubs, coffees, laundries, subway, etc. Also, no need to look for subway instantly - 60 mins of easy walk to the Empire State Building, lower Mannhattan, 20 mins to the East River piers or Brooklyn Bridge. The hotel lobby was always perfectly conditioned, calm and nice vibes, the family room was just fine for 4 adts and two kids. Very nice and helpful staff - we stored a stroller every day, booked an airport transfer via hotel - no issues at all.
Cons: I would appreciate a lobby coffee in the afternoon, not just morning. Also, a possibility to buy a beer (either vending or from a bar) would be good.

Cozy and beautiful
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Very small room, clean, excellent location. No elevator as it is a historic building. We didn’t have breakfast. Tea and coffee in the cozy sitting area.
Cons: The ticking in the heating system (all night)

Pros: The location was very good, fit what we were looking to do and see in New York over Christmas. Has a good style.
Cons: Room is a bit narrow when navigating around the beds, and the bathroom was a little small, but I believe this is the norm in NY.

Cons: Staff talking loudly in the hallway. I.e calling someone verbally from down the hall.

Pros: The room was nice, the personnel was helpful, I like the atmosphere of the hotel
Cons: A bit noisy, the rooms are not soundproof, the building is really old, I would advise taking the room on the higher floor, we were on the second floor and it was noisy from the street and people talking and laughing there.
