Washington Square Hotel

Pros: Everything was excellent, very good location, clean room with a nice city view, complimentary breakfast, possibility to have a coffee or tea from lobby when needed

Cons: A little bit too warm in the room, although it was possible to open the window a bit, it didn't help much

A busy 5 days/4 nights in Manhattan taking in all major attractions and a couple of sports events.

Pros: An excellent location; 200 yards from W4th St Subway station that is well-served with trains both up/downtown to all the major sightseeing attractions and ease of connection to JFK & Newark. We stayed for 4 nights; the weather outside was below freezing, but we we toasty warm in our room. Room was a standard size for what I've come to expect in Manhattan. Restaurant - we took continental breakfast every morning - was very good, not too busy and well-stocked and replenished regularly with pastries, rolls, coffee, mike etc. A very useful \

Cons: One small negative was the absence of a bar due to refurbishment. Staff were friendly and obliging.

Nice hotel for a short stay

Pros: Location, quiet and nice beds. Clean room and bathroom

Cons: It was very expensive but still one of the cheapest places we could locate

Authentic New York hotel in perfect location

Pros: In a lovely location with a subway station a few steps away. It’s not a ‘touristy’ location, so felt more authentic. Friendly staff, continental breakfast, lovely hotel.

Terrific stay in a beautiful hotel

Pros: What a fabulous location with tons of music and literary history. Terrific staff and beautiful hotel. I loved the bathroom, it was roomy and bright. Our room was towards the back and was super quiet at night.

Cons: For me, the bed was not the most comfortable.

Great location, easy to get to, lovely staff.

Cons: There were sometimes noises from the room above, loud footsteps which could be annoying.

Pros: Perfectly positioned in Washington Square. 1 minute from subway -4th Street, easy access from JFK airport about 45 mins - air train change at Howard Beach then Blue A subway to 4th Street. You’re in the heart of Greenwich Village, safe, Bohemian and loads to do - food & drink

Cons: Rooms small ish and a tad dated, that is it. Bath/shower with fab hot water and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

Would really recommend this and would come back next time we visit this part of NYC

Pros: Location was great, the desk staff were very helpful and our room was a decent size for New York.

Cons: Nothing really. Breakfast was a bit monotonous but it was free so it seems churlish to complain.
