Great city hotel in the heart of East Village

Pros: Friendly staff (Giara), very cosy sitting area at the bar. The room was compact but had all the essentials

Cons: Would have been nice to have access to the bed from both sides

Pros: Overall the hotel was great! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cosy. Breakfast and drinks in evening were brilliant.

Cons: The room was too small for 4 people. We were very tight and the best way to stay was for one of us going out during the shower time.

Pros: Staff were great but we must call out Nikki Spenzierato for being absolutely above and beyond and making our stay one that we will never forget in our lifetime. Please please please look after Nikki, she is such a credit to you.

Cons: Slightly more space in the room, roof top bar open more evenings than it was during our stay

Great location, suitable for shorter stays

Pros: We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. The room seemed bigger than expected (was prepared for the worst), we found space for 3 suitcases. The sound proofing is great, beds are comfortable. The location is close to everything. Part of the price is a daily destination fee of 35$ of which you get 20$ back in credits. We spent it on pastry at a breakfast pop-up which was super delicious! Free filter coffee was also great to have.

Cons: It was not clean, though housekeeping came every day. The bathroom has very thin walls. No kettle in the room. Even though all of these are more minor things, I think the pricing for this hotel is not just. However, being one of the cheapest on Manhattan, it is definitely a good deal :)

Pros: Location is excellent in the East Village. Staff were friendly and room had everything we needed plus a lovely view.

Cons: The master light had to be turned on to use the bathroom light which meant I was waking my partner every time I used the toilet during the night. A kettle/coffee in the room would be nice but I’m not sure if these are common in NYC hotels in general

Pros: The hotel was very welcoming and rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. Lovely lounge/bar and rooftop bar to relax. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Cons: Thin walls, we could hear people next door and in the hallway.

Incredible location in a vibrant part of the city removed from the tourist traps - highly recommend.

Pros: Room was on the small side but perfectly suited for our needs. Three friends in the city for a long weekend so we booked the room with the bunk beds. Perfect as no awkward bed sharing required! Beds we're very comfortable and shower pressure was excellent. Free Stumptown coffee in the morning in the seating area off the lobby. This was a great place to hang out in and caffeine first thing before heading off for the day. This space made up for the smaller room as we only used it for sleeping. Having lived in NYC in my 20s, this is the way of life for city dwellers, socialising in shared spaces because most flats are so small.

Cons: Could have used on small chair/stool in the room for those on the upper bunks to it on without having to climb up into their bed. $7 bottles of water in the room seem a bit excessive and easy to think they're complimentary as they're just sitting out rather than away in a fridge.
