Pros: The locality, the hot & cold drinks bar and microwave at the bottom level. The vibe of the place.
Cons: 5th floor with no elevator, no proper window so it was cold in the room.

Pros: Great value for NYC, but be ready for a workout! I stayed at The Flat NYC for a week and overall, it was a fantastic stay. Considering New York's notoriously high prices, this place is incredibly reasonable and offers great value for money. Fantastic value in NYC with heartwarming hospitality! What I loved most was the coffee and tea station on the first floorโit was a lifesaver during the cold winter days! The staff clearly takes great pride in the property, as the station and common areas were always kept impeccably clean and organized. Even though my room didn't have a private bathroom, the shared bathrooms were always spotless and well-maintained, so I didn't find it inconvenient at all. A huge thank you to the friendly and hardworking staff for making my stay so pleasant and comfortable! I highly recommend this place for budget-conscious travelers who appreciate a clean and welcoming environment!
Cons: However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, there is no elevator. I knew this beforehand, but the stairs are steeper and higher than I expected, with about 15 steps between each floor. If you're bringing large suitcases, you might want to hit the gym and build some muscle before your trip! Also, the mattress felt a bit dated and wasn't the most comfortable. If you're on a budget and don't mind a bit of a climb, this is a solid choice. Just pack light or be prepared for the stairs!

Economical and pleasant accommodation in the heart of Manhattan.
Pros: Pleasant location close to the Flatiron Building. Warm, quiet and comfortable room. Friendly staff.
Cons: Switch on bedside lamp wasnโt working, and the mains plug was almost inaccessible, so I ended up leaving the lamp on all night.

perfect place in a perfect location
Pros: perfect location, room & shared bath all new, super clean, and well equipped with hooks, chair, plenty of lights (near bed, above sink etc.), and plenty of electricity sockets. room has own sink and extra towels and even a personal floor mat to use in the shared bath. free coffee & tea, fridge, microwave. nice and homey atmosphere, as a solo female traveler felt very safe here at all hours. highly recommended :-)
Cons: the shared bathroom rooms are 3rd floor and up. i knew this in advance and did not bother me (and nice guests helped me up with my luggage :)) but just notice it is many stairs to climb. room is very small but in nyc that's what i expected + it is so nice, clean and comfy :)

Cozy Stay in the Flat Iron District.
Pros: Fantastic location in the centre of Manhattan. Could easily walk to key attractions, restaurants and subway stops. Rooms were neat and tidy and bed was comfortable. Staff were very accomodating and helpful.
Cons: Rooms were quite small, especially the double room where the bed was right up again the wall and you have to climb over your partner. The queen suite was better but still only enough room to walk around the bed. The rooms that face on to the street are very noisy.

Great straightforward stay , my Room was a little small but absolutely fine for solo / couple travellers
Pros: Location was great , tea and coffee facilities good. Clean and tidy
Cons: Shared bathrooms were not ideal but reflected in the price during marathon weekend so no complaints. Also understood there were shared bathrooms when I booked. So just a personal preference

Pros: A gem in the heart of Manhattan. The perfect base for exploring NYC with access to three subway lines. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always available and ready to listen. The room is great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, and the bed was perfect.
Cons: Considering the charm and history of the house, there is no elevator, which makes it difficult for older guests to reach the 3rd/4th floor, but the climb is manageable.
