Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square

Pleasant & conveniently located

Pros: The Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square is a comfortable and conveniently located hotel; ideal for exploring the historic parts of Philadelphia, the museums, and the gay neighborhood. The room was spacious and the bed was very good.

Cons: The room was clean in general, but when I reached for the sockets on the floor between the bed and the table next to it, there were tangled cables, and everything was under a thick layer of dust - that was a bit unpleasant. The bathroom was clean, but the shower drain didn't work well; at the end of the shower, I would always stand in a puddle of water. I visited the gym twice, and some of the machines were not working. The lady who helped me when checking in was not particularly welcoming and also not well-informed about facilities.

Very good hotel in a great location

Pros: The hotel is in a great location and easy to get to with transit options close by. The room we had was spacious and comfortable.

Cons: The elevators were a little overwhelmed at peak times meaning we had to wait a long time to get up or down

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, and when it rained you could borrow these big wonderful umbrellas from the very friendly staff.

Cons: The window was very thin, so it was cold when the blinds were opened and lots of street noise.

Pros: Friendly staff. Good facilities including laundry.

Cons: Though close to Rittenhouse Square, the neighbourhood directly outside was less desirable

Great location for Philly visit

Pros: Location was great and the room was clean and comfy.

Cons: The decor in the hallways and shared spaces was a bit dated and some things in the room needed uodating e.g. frayed carpet.

Pros: Decent room, good location and hotel bar on ground floor

Cons: Everything was fine

Nice stay in Philly

Pros: Room was very clean, quality was good for the price. Ruth's Steak House nearby was convenient.

Cons: Crowded downstairs in lobby though there may have been an event. No breakfast facilities (though Green Eggs nearby was ok)

I would stay again

Pros: This place was in a really good location for walking distance to many local attractions. We had a dog that we had taken with us, the hotel was extremely accommodating for pets which was fantastic. Parking was cheap at the hotel which makes it easier. I would recommend this hotel

A fab family break

Pros: Great size rooms and the location was perfect for exploring all Philadelphia had to offer. Superb pool too.

Cons: The concierge was very abrupt and not much help.

Very pleasant

Pros: Friendly staff, clean facilities, very helpful service in the restaurant by ordering a special meal not listed in the menu. Close to train station so perfect when travelling by train
