Excellent stay in New York

Pros: Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable hotel.

We had a great time and the door staff were so wonderful and accommodating.

Pros: It was a great, humble location in the heart of NYC. Made for a wonderful honeymoon stay.

Location, location, location & room size.

Pros: Booked the hotel based on what we had planned during our stay as well as the room size compared to newer hotels. We stayed in a corner room, 1610 and could not fault it, the location, room facilities and the maid service were all without fault. Yes the lobby and decor needs some attention and does not compete with newer hotels in the area but for us, it was exactly what we wanted.

Cons: Entrance and lobby slightly tired.

Excellent hotel for easy access to the mid town area and sights. Great spot and hotel prices on par.

Absolutely wonderful

Cons: Desk needs a mirror for hair and makeup as the full length mirror is too far from plug sockets (unable to use hair appliances comfortably).

Pros: I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect for what I needed and just a short walk from Central Park, a great spot to enjoy some fresh air. It was also close to restaurants, cafés, and shops, making it very convenient. My room was spacious, quiet, and spotless — a real find in Manhattan. The bed was comfortable, and I slept really well. Everything I needed was provided, including a fridge and a garment steamer, which was very handy. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the overall comfort made it easy to relax and work. Considering the quality and location, the value for money was excellent. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting New York.

Cons: The only downside was that, as is often the case in Manhattan, the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or breakfast service. You either have to go out for breakfast or pick up some groceries to have something in your room. The bigger issue, though, was an unexpected and significant difference between the rate I booked through Booking.com and the one on my final invoice. It took almost an hour at the front desk to sort it out and get the correct rate applied. Everything was eventually resolved, but it was a frustrating and time-consuming experience at checkout, especially at the end of an otherwise excellent stay.

Clean & comfortable, pricy, excellent location

Pros: Location was excellent, door staff and all check in staff were very friendly, the cleaning was completed to a high standard, the bed and pillows were really comfy, complimentary coffee and water was a nice touch

Cons: The facilities were somewhat basic and some facilities were locked off to general bookings in favour of ‘owners’. Adverts on lift doors felt invasive given we had paid for our stay and were inside the hotel

Pros: The room was great, location close to all main attractions via walk or subway

Pros: Central location to uptown Manhattan. Cleaned rooms every day and provided complimentary coffee/tea/water and replaced every day

Cons: Lobby - no bar, Acadia was not welcoming if you just wanted a casual drink. Also rooms were very dark - which could not be helped with the tall buildings.
