Chic Hotel, I like it.

Pros: The location is great, my favorite area in New York near Chelsea Market. The style of the rooms is really great with a good view. We ordered room service and really enjoyed it. I think it's a very chic hotel with a great atmosphere; I would definitely return. Lastly, the video they have in the elevator is incredible.

Cons: In the check out, they add charges for things like donations and extra services that aren't mentioned in the initial price. We also had some issues with noisy pipes in one room, but they moved us immediately, so we have no complaints.

Fun hotel with an amazing location - perfect for a couple wanting to enjoy NYC

Pros: Excellent location; great view of the Hudson with the floor to ceiling window; brilliant shower and great sized room for NY; wonderful to have The Standard's restaurant and bar facilities and great vibe throughout.

Cons: The sound insulation could have been better. We heard the music from the bar upstairs - it wasn't too bad but if you're sensitive to noise, think about swapping the view for a room further away from the bar. I did request a room that was quiet but still we heard it (although it didn't stop us from sleeping that night). I also don't like that there's an extra resort fee charge - you get nothing but a small bottle of water per person for the $35 per night. If they had a pool and sauna, I'd be ok with it but really, it's an outdated practice that isn't appropriate for this hotel and was the only downside to the otherwise brilliant experience of the facilities and customer service.

Incredible once in a life time experience.

Pros: Perfect location for an authentic New York experience. We stayed in the liberty suite which was truly spectacular. Made even more special by adding a Christmas tree to our room.

Great location

Pros: Excellent location, staff really helpful, bed comfortable and towels fresh each day.

Cons: Whilst there was a small wardrobe in the room there was no other storage so lived out of our suitcase. Also didn't like the screen between the bedroom and bathroom. This was made slightly better after we had asked for a screen.

Highly recommend for a fun stay in NYC

Pros: Although it’s been around for a while, it seems brand new. Brilliant sized rooms, amazing shower, a view from almost anywhere. Food was brilliant (shame they no longer do a bucket of wings on room service). Loved staying here.

Great stay. Although a small room for three everything was fine.

Pros: Location is great. Close to the metro. With many interesting places t visit nearby. The room is ok, but small as many others in NY. The restaurant is amazingly good. The staff is friendly.

Cons: During our first night we were in the 16th floor, literally unable to sleep until 4 am because of the noise coming from the night club. The person in the reception told us that she warned me but I couldn't imagine that the noise would be so loud. In an way she implied that it was kind of \

Wonderful stay at the Standard!

Pros: The location of the hotel is simply superb. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and really added to our stay, particularly Brent at the front desk who really went above and beyond to make our boys feel very special.

Cons: The rooms are small, but clean and quiet and incredible views!

Amazing location

Pros: The location was amazing, the hotel is situated right next to the high line so easy to access many sites in New York on foot. Room clean and tidy, fresh bed linen and towels everyday. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was exceptional and handy to grab a quick bite to eat before heading out for the day. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a queen suite with views of the Hudson. The rooms are small however as to be expected in New York.

Pros: The corner room I was in had the best sunset views of New York. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets good quality. Towels soft. The location of the hotel is superb. Staff super helpful and friendly.
