Ticket to the Theatre
Pros: The location is fabulous. A quick 10 minute walk from Penn Station and close to the theatre area and Times Square. The QS room was a good size and had good storage. Even a mini refrigerator. Lovely ensuite, comfortable bed and very clean. Breakfast was included and there were enough choices to please most people.
Cons: The Lobby Bar is small. Only 4 people can sit there which makes it difficult for others to get a drink . It was very crowded one night because the Rooftop was closed for a private party

I'd return on my next visit to NYC
Pros: Staff were exemplary with every interaction. Hotel well situated with tourist attractions like Rockafella, Edge and Central Park close by. The room was a little smaller than other hotels but well equipped with amenities such as coffee machine, hairdryer, bath robes, nice smelling toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and the views from the room were amazing! Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. The rooftop bar is a must do! What an experience with the views over times square and beyond. My security deposit was returned within minutes unlike other hotels where i'm still waiting nearly a week on. I would highly recommend The Aliz and when I return to Mew York, I will certainly book a stay.
Cons: My flight was cancelled so I booked a room with The Aliz, I hadn't had confirmation of when my flight would be rescheduled at that time, soon after my booking I tried to extend my stay for another night knowing they had plenty of availability as I had already checked. BUT ...... they declined. I had to make a whole new booking. That was unnecessary added stress that wasn't needed. I can't understand why they declined when they had plenty of rooms available. They even said on checking \

Loved our stay here, would definitely recommend and return!
Pros: Staff were so lovely, breakfast buffet was amazing and definitely a highlight, the room was clean and comfortable and location was great. The bar at the top was also such a bonus. Would stay again.
Cons: One of the lifts was broken so often had to wait a long time to get up or down.

Lovely stay, helpful staff, great area
Pros: Very clean and modern, lovely rooms, staff very helpful and nice. Close to Times Square, shops and restaurants.
Cons: The wasn’t anything wrong with the property except on the day we checked out it was a struggle to get into a lift but that was because everyone be was checking out at the same time.

Unnecessarily difficult
Pros: My daughter and her friend stayed here when when flight home to UK got cancelled due to a snow storm. It was easy to book and she said the staff were lovely, room smaller than the previous hotel but clean and comfortable. She enjoyed the hot drinks facilities in the room and appreciated the rooftop bar.
Cons: My only gripe is I booked one night as we were waiting for the airline to reschedule her flight, when I found out we needed two nights I checked availability first and seen there was plenty so I contacted the Aliz via booking.com and asked to extend the booking for an extra night. They declined. I then had to book a separate booking for exactly the same room. Absolutely ridiculous!! At check in the assistant said oh I see you have two bookings, you can stay in the same room..... crazy!! I wish I had of just chosen a different hotel altogether. Why make it unnecessarily difficult?

Prime location close to Times Square and walkable to most attractions.
Pros: Very nice hotel in a great location with bar at 40th floor giving great views across the City. Friendly staff and really nice breakfast with lots of choice.
Cons: Lifts sometimes a bit slow but it’s a 40 ish storey hotel with lots of guests so you’d expect a short wait.

Excellent staff, location and facilities
Pros: The room was always cleaned and towels refreshed even when we went out for a short period of time, by the time we returned the room was already serviced. The room was comfortable with heating and delicious coffee. The shower has non-stop hot water and everything provided was excellent. The gown provided during the stay was fantastic! The breakfast times were also excellent because we could sleep in a little late and still make it in time for breakfast. We also tried the upstairs bar and really enjoyed the views, the food and the drinks with complementary champagne.
Cons: The hotel is extremely busy so the elevators take some time, we tried the stairs a couple of times during the peak hours and that worked fine, don't lose patience, a less full one will come along eventually.
