Oasis of peace in the center of busy Manhattan

Pros: Quiet, not pretentious, friendly and welcoming. Staff left us a nice note - we have stayed here 20 years ago and would stay again. Room with complimentary tea and coffee where you can relax.

Cons: All was as expected.

Just perfect , we travelled we our two older children ( 21 and 16) who agreed they would come back!

Pros: The hotel could not be located in a better place , easy access on foot everywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were amazing ! We will be returning to this hotel . The rooftop bar was a great place to unwind .

Cons: The scaffolding outside however we learnt this is a must in winter due to the potential snow and its hazards, so fully understandable

Fab comfortable and a little gem of a hotel!

Pros: Location was excellent for our first time visiting NYC. Hotel not too big

Cons: Lifts are a little tired but nothing that is to bothersome

It was nice hotel

Pros: All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel in excellent location.

Cons: Everything was very good except that there is no parking in the hotel and the general parking lot is around 10 minutes walking to the hotel, Also the take inconsideration that the size of the normal room is little small

A pleasant and comfortavle price to stay. Very centra. 5 mins to Times Sq,

Pros: All bedrooms are labelled as a library category. Rooms are quite large with a built in TV and safe. There is no mini bar nor coffee/tea making faciltywithin bedrooms, although there is a 24/7 hour reading room serving refreshments and snacks.

Cons: Madison and Vine is a connected restaurant to the hotel which serves good food but is above average pricey. Breakfasts there are pricey as well. better to walk to Central Grand Station and pay for a much cheaper coffee, juice and croissant there.

Great and I would stay there again.

Pros: The small double room is ideal for one person, probably a bit cramped if there are 2 of you. The location is very central so it is easy to get around NYC, especially by walking and very easy to access Grand Central Station if you want to 'escape'.

Cons: I found the room very dark, probably not helped by scaffolding on outside of building. Also the room safe was too high for me to access easily,.

Cons: Nothing!

Perfectly located cozy boutique hotel

Pros: Location is perfect, and the reading room provides for an unbeatably comfortable/cozy lounge area. The building was undergoing maintenance on its exterior during my stay, so can't wait to return once all the scafolding is gone. All in all an excellent hotel for people looking for comfort and wellbeing that go beyond an impersonal cold luxurious building.

Cons: I missed finding a luggage rack/suitcase holder in the closet, I ended up having to open my large check-in suitcase on a marble round side table.

Fantastic location, wonderful staff would definitely stay again…in a bigger room!

Pros: The location was brilliant. Right in the middle of everything. I loved the library theme and all the little ‘reading’ references around the hotel. The lounge on the second floor was really nice to sit and relax in with a tea or coffee. The roof terrace restaurant ‘Bookmarks’ was also great. Good food and drinks and staff lovely overall.

Cons: We had a petite room and it really was petite. A bit claustrophobic at times especially with the heat. It was also a shame there was scaffolding up which spoilt the views on the roof terrace.
